Did you miss me on Friday? Sorry about that. I was under the weather. Still not 100% but I’m getting there.
So. Politics. So much shit being flung around that I’m surprised it’s not showing up on FAA radar.
Lord Dampnut had a rally in Georgia on Saturday night, and the numbers don’t lie, kittens. The place was about half full, compared to Kamala’s rally in the same venue (the GSU center in Atlanta) on July 30.
What did he talk about? Well, here’s a taste: “[The world] will come to America when we host the Los Angeles Olympics, and by the way, which I was president when we happened to get it, I was the president, I also got you a thing called the World Cup, which is coming very soon.”
He cannot say one single thing without making it all about himself and will no one rid us of this turbulent man?
But something curious happened as he was rambling in Atlanta, saying [regarding crime] “Atlanta is like a killing field, a new governor ought to get off his ass and do something about it.”
The coverage ended there and the Faux News anchor jumped in and said “So the Trump rally, underway there in Atlanta, uh, the former president turning to some of his familiar themes on the campaign trail.” Yep, they cut him off, interrupted him, and then clowned him by saying “there he goes with the same old shit.”
This is the same Faux News that admitted, under oath, that they were an entertainment organization, not a news one, and had to pay $800 million for pushing false information.
Dampnut’s chickened out of the scheduled debate on September 10 on ABC and says he won’t do it. Thinking that Faux News is on his side, he’s decided that the debate with Kamala will be on September 4, with Faux News moderators, a crowd of Trumptards, and no fact checking. Kamala wasn’t buying it, and hit back, saying “Donald Trump is running scared and trying to back out of the debate he already agreed to and running straight to Fox News to bail him out. He needs to stop playing games and show up to the debate he already committed to on Sept 10. The Vice President will be there one way or the other to take the opportunity to speak to a prime time national audience. We're happy to discuss further debates after the one both campaigns have already agreed to. Mr. Anytime, anywhere, anyplace should have no problem with that unless he's too scared to show up on the 10th."
Ouch. Her campaign is not playing. News flash to Lord Dampnut: pulling out is not a reliable method of narrative control.
