Yet another transparent attempt to delay the start of Squirrelwig Shitshispants’ upcoming criminal hush money trial, set to start April 15. There have been about 6 attempts since last August, and that’s just for this trial. I wanna be sedated.
The argument? Too much publicity. According to Squirrelwig, New York already thinks he’s guilty and Michael Cohen keeps saying “Donald von Shitsinpants” (I love that one) and everyone is being a big meanie poo poo head to him and calling him names and won’t let him wear pink on Wednesday or sit at the cool lunch table and his parents bought him a used El Camino to drive and it’s not fair. All that pretrial publicity, plus the anti-Trump sentiment in Manhattan, mean he won’t be able to get a fair trial because there aren’t any jurors out there that can be objective any time in April. In the motion, titled “President Donald J. Trump’s motion for a further adjournment based on prejudicial pretrial publicity” they wrote “President Trump’s Constitutional right to a fair trial is at stake,” as they appeal to Judge Juan Marchan, who has been the target (along with his family) of many a methed-up Truth Social binge (the judge recently increased the gag order to include family members of the officers of the court; his daughter still remains a target as that fucking guy keeps gunning for her in defiance of said court order and of course, nothing will happen to him). And I’m sure all this publicity is all because he keeps bringing it up and threatening people.
But just April. I don’t know what they think will happen in May. It’d be one thing to say yeah, the jury pool is tainted forever. They aren’t usually tainted for such a specific amount of time, so okay, that’s weird. That’s just, like, my opinion, man.
The prosecutors are ready to go, though. ADA Matthew Colangelo told the court “First, publicity is not likely to abate” on March 25. Inconceivable!
